Coogee Beach rock pool

My photo for today was taken around 6pm at the Coogee rock pool.
It's beautiful @ that time of night, very calm and relaxing.  Lots of people are walking after work, and it's great to see them enjoying the anticipation of warmer weather and daylight savings.

The concrete blocks at Coogee pool used to be more worn and battered by the breaking waves, but they were replaced a year or so ago.  It'll be quite a few years before these blocks are worn to that level again.  There was an exhibition I saw several years ago by a European photographer who was so intrigued by these unique rock pools that he travelled the east coast of Australia photographing them.  Sometimes it takes someone's different perspective on what they see to make you take a second look at what's around you.

I was also intrigued by the swimming pools in the sea when I first arrived here. I love them much better than those chlorinated council ones!
